Follow the misadventures of Brayden Lamb—an American, pretending to be a Canadian—and a Parisian photographer named Thierry. Despite knowing each other, the two never seem to meet, eventuating in a polyphonic narrative at once amusing and absurd. Unfolding in 1990's Paris, Camembert, Rwanda, and amidst a smoldering remembrance of World War II, the two principal characters' lives interweave and dodge narratively one with the another. But both find, sadly, their individual lives too preoccupying to ever 'se rencontre'. An absurdist novel with artists, cigarettes, a professor, women, a midget, clandestine affairs, Nazis, machetes, Disney characters, and decidedly comic elements. A bloody violent novel.
