"And in the end..."
To celebrate the tenth anniversary of our first release, Purgatorium: The Element of Horror, ID Press is proud to present sixteen stories from the five members of ID Press, spanning several genres. There's no better way to end a story than with, "The End."
The Elements Anthologies bring together genre authors and ask them to do something different: write a story outside of their normal genre. The tension this creates, the inevitable creep of their chosen genre into the genre of the anthology, is where the magic happens.
"Once upon a time."
"It was the best of times."
"In a galaxy far, far away..."
We all know how stories begin. Those first words set the tone, spark the imagination, and pull us into worlds beyond our own.
But just as important as the beginning of a story, is the ending. A great ending can leave us breathless with wonder, triumphant with hope, or hollowed out by grief. It lingers long after the final page is turned.
Now, the team at ID Press invites you to their final anthology: a celebration of endings in all their many forms.
A guardian must decide whether saving the world is worth the price of betrayal in The Handler.
In The Devil is in the Details, success might just come at a devastating cost.
And in The Age of Fear, some truths can never be unknown.
Welcome to Terminus: The Element of Endings.
