In Tattoo, D. Thomas Gochenour delivers a haunting portrait of a man shaped by war, loss, and a lifetime of buried anger. Jack carries his past on his skin-literally-in a tattoo memorializing his brother killed in combat. But what begins as remembrance becomes something far more terrifying when the images inked into his flesh seem to awaken and move beyond his control.
Set against the stark emotional landscape of modern urban life, the novel explores masculinity, violence, loneliness, and the psychological scars left behind by war. Through vivid imagery and raw emotional intensity, Tattoo examines what happens when memory refuses to stay buried-and when the past demands to be lived again.
A dark and unflinching literary work that lingers long after the final page.
"Tattoo is a chilling and suspenseful journey into the mind of a troubled veteran. Blending mystery, psychological depth, and unforgettable twists, this novella keeps readers captivated from beginning to end."
