The earthquake was only the doorway. What's waiting on the other side of the fog is something neither of them was meant to survive.
Seo Nam-woo wakes up inside a tilted fortress that should not exist. The lower floors are flooded. Thick fog presses against every window, swallowing a world that is no longer the one he fell asleep in. He does what a police officer is trained to do — finds the other survivors, organizes them, keeps them steady, and waits for rescue.
Rescue does not come.
Then the power dies. And the things in the fog begin to move.
Among the survivors is Ki Yu-jin — a Korean-Canadian actor with gray eyes and a stillness Nam-woo cannot read. Famous. Composed. Unfailingly polite. In any other life, their paths would never have crossed. In this one, Yu-jin's quiet attention follows Nam-woo down every flooded corridor, through every long night they shouldn't survive. He speaks to Nam-woo with the same careful courtesy he speaks to everyone — and looks at him in a way he looks at no one else.
Nam-woo has spent years building walls around himself. Yu-jin is patient enough to wait at every one of them. As the fortress reveals what is truly hunting them — and as something between the two men begins to shift from survival into something far more dangerous — Nam-woo realizes that the gentle man at his side may want him in ways the monsters outside never could.
