The crew of the starship Atreon is awakened out of cryosleep to attend to a catastrophic event with the hull. After making repairs, the stress of awakening years before their intended time affects the crew, with the science officer proclaiming they are not in space but in fact aboard a submarine, and declaring there is a serial killer aboard the ship. He is dismissed as crazy, until the ship's engineering technician suddenly disappears, and the Atreon's artificial intelligence corroborates his story...
