Jennifer needs help from her husband, to escape from the influence of her son's friend. Robert is blackmailing her into doing bad things. The boy told her he was going to train her, which of course she didn't believe, or take notice of. She didn't realise he was punishing her when trying to defy him, and then rewarded her when she obeyed him. Some of the regime was coincidence, and she had to admit, some of the rewards were nice. As a neglected housewife his attention was welcome.
