Grayson Tyler had everything-fame, fortune, and the adoration of millions as the lead guitarist of rock band Indigo Riot. After years of hard partying and one drunken performance too many, he's kicked out of the band he helped build. With his career in ruins and his life spiraling out of control, a late-night crash in a Los Angeles alley becomes the wake-up call he needs.
After a stint in rehab, Grayson retreats to a quiet cottage in the seaside town of Pacific Grove to work on a solo album and stay away from the chaos of his past. Here, he hopes to prove to his band, the record label, and himself that he's still worth believing in.
At the cottage, he meets Olivia Katella, a beautiful artist who carries the scars of her past both on her face and in her heart. She manages the rental property with a careful distance, as she hides behind her hair or in her art studio.
Through late-night songwriting sessions, Thai takeout, and a backyard hammock, a fragile friendship is formed. When their two very different worlds collide in a way they never imagined, they both have to prove that even the most broken people can change, and that love can grow in the most unexpected places.
