His memories of her were always there... hidden but not forgotten. He only needed the key to unlock them. Now he has one week to find her.
A chance discovery of an old photo ignites a memory of a best friend from childhood. Luke, married and heading into his sixties, feels a pull to rekindle that friendship. But decades of a life well lived have fractured and faded the memories from his teenage and young adult years. He has nothing to go on except a photograph, a yearning for reconnection, and a name... Beverly.
Can men and women engage in platonic relationships? Luke's friends don't think so and aren't subtle about it. His family supports him, but secretly his wife harbours doubts.
Roadblocks appear at almost every step of his journey. Luke must choose between trying to heal a lost connection or giving up on it forever. Are these signs the Universe telling him to stop? Or are they making sure of his commitment, no matter what the outcome? Would Beverly even want him back in her life? Is this quest worth risking his marriage? In one week, Luke's efforts will reveal a truth he must accept.
Can a friendship survive decades of distance and silence... and should it?
