India also known as Bharat, is a land of bravery and gallantry. In every part of India, brave persons are found. This statement comes before us frequently and challengingly as we remember and discuss about the freedom struggle. When we think about the freedom struggle, we are filled with the grief at the fact that our beloved country, under the shackles of foreigners for centuries, was compelled to suffer at their hands but on the other hand, when we think of the sacrifice, bravery, courage, patriotism and love of the freedom fighters, then we are filled with pride.In the inspirational line of freedom fighters, one honourable name is that of Sardar Bhagat Singh. He was born on September 27, 1907 in the village called Banga in the district of Lyallpur (now in Pakistan).
