The Xylo have ruled this moon long before humans had the ambition to reach it. Obsidian-skinned warriors, built for this savage place. Human blood triggers something in them, an ancient response they call the Blood-Bond, and it doesn't ask permission.
Kael is a Void-Stalker. He's been watching Elara since the moment of impact, drawn by her scent and a mating fever he can't outrun. He waits. Patient.
