Fourteen years ago, I let the woman I love walk away. I've regretted it every day since.
Haley left Asheville fourteen years ago...I stayed. I had responsibilities at the winery. At least, that's what I told myself
None of that changes the truth.
When Haley needed me to choose her, I didn't.
Now she's home, and I have no idea what fourteen years have done to the woman I never managed to forget. I get my answer when I find her stranded on the side of the road.
She still takes my breath away. She also might hate me. I can't blame her.
I don't expect forgiveness. I know wanting another chance doesn't mean I deserve one. But I'm not the man I was fourteen years ago.
This time, I'm going to show Haley what I should have shown her then.
She isn't someone I'm willing to lose...not again.
