Damien Steel has always known what waits for him someday: the Bloodmoon Pack, the Alpha title, and the weight of a legacy built long before he was born. At eighteen, he is proud, capable, and certain his first shift will be the next step toward that future. Instead, the wolf inside him refuses to come forward, humiliating Damien before the people who have spent his entire life expecting greatness from him.
The reason is more dangerous than anyone realizes.
His wolf is Rook, an ancient sovereign creature tied to the oldest Bloodmoon bloodlines. Rook has no intention of obeying Damien simply because they share the same body. He has watched kings rise, empires fall, and powerful men destroy themselves because they were never worthy of what they carried. If Damien wants access to Rook's strength, he will have to earn it.
What begins as a battle of wills becomes years of brutal training, hard lessons, loyalty, betrayal, violence, and transformation. Rook teaches Damien that strength without restraint is weakness, leadership is more than command, and the most dangerous truths are often revealed by those patient enough to hide and watch. Slowly, the arrogant young heir and the ancient wolf who refuses to bow become something neither of them could have become alone.
Together, Damien and Rook will rise beyond reputation and become legend. Long after their battles are over, long after Bloodmoon has passed into other hands, and long after both man and wolf are gone, their names will still be spoken. Their story will be carried through generations, retold around fires and whispered to young wolves who know Rook not as a creature from history, but as the wolf of kings, and Damien as the Alpha strong enough to stand beside him.
ROOK is the story of how that legend began.
