DESCRIPTION:
Wendy might have been a perfect student in college but that meant she had no time for extra curricular activities. Now it was all over and the only person that could help her catch up was across the country, it was time for a road trip. A road trip that would make up for all that she missed in those five years.
EXCERPT:
It had been two days since that eventful evening with the bartender. She'd got up in the morning to find herself half dressed, on the empty bed with a major headache. After a long cold shower she figured it was time to check out but for the life of her she could remember the bartender's name. Couldn't even remember if she'd asked for his name.
Checkout was awkward to say the least. She went to settle the tab and when she told the manager she'd left an open tab with the dark haired bartender he looked at her like she'd lost her mind.
"We only have a blond female waitress and she works until 8 p.m. Maybe you're thinking of the night manager? But he's not allowed to serve alcohol."
She felt herself turn bright red knowing she probably got the guy fired, or at least a talking to. Not the best way to start a cross country trip. When asked how much she drank, she straight out lied and said only one whiskey. He believed her, but would be in for one hell of a surprise when they checked her room and found a half empty bottle there.
