Rind, a half-orc, needs to get a job in a human world.

In a world of monsters and magic across lands ruled by humans, a black woolen blanket warms the half-human and half-orc Rind from birth to youth. It warms during wet days and cold nights in the mountainside soddy near an orc clan's Smash Mountain Cave far from human cities and seaports but close to a human settlement called Featherton at the frontier of a duke's empire.

One day, Rind's orc mom grabs the woolen blanket from Rind's moldy straw bed inside their mountainside soddy and makes a cloak for Rind to begin a rite of passage for Rind to find a job in a human world.

Thus begins a fable of trust as Rind searches for help getting a job and the origin of their Fey magic.
