He was paid to kill Asa. Now Rafe will do anything to keep him alive.
Rafe has never pretended to be a good man. He's an assassin for hire who leaves no evidence behind. Taking out Asa Trent should have been another job. Instead, Rafe killed everyone else in the room and let his target live. Ninety-three days later, he knows where Asa sleeps, where he works, and who gets too close, and he's already killed for the man he's decided is his.
Asa has spent two years running and three months at Redcars trying to believe he's finally safe, with a job, a found family, and maybe even a Christmas worth having. But the safety he's fought for is coming apart at the seams, and the assassin paid to kill him never really left. Asa doesn't know which is more terrifying: the people hunting him, or the obsessive killer who knows far too much about his life and has already started leaving bodies behind.
When Rafe decides Redcars can't keep Asa safe, he doesn't ask. He takes Asa somewhere no one will ever find him, and Asa learns exactly how far Rafe will go to keep him alive.
Including making sure he never leaves.
