Prose & Cons

What if you finally got everything you ever wanted... and it slowly turned you into someone you didn't recognize?

After a decade of rejection, aspiring novelist Hannah Johannesson signs with the publisher of her dreams and becomes an overnight literary sensation.

But success comes with strange side effects.

Her stories begin changing after they're published. Memories no longer match reality. Readers quote passages she never wrote. As the line between authorship and identity begins to blur, Hannah discovers that her success may have come at a price she never understood.

With the help of her fiercely loyal librarian best friend, Solveig, Hannah uncovers a hidden world of forgotten stories, magical archives, unfinished books, and an ancient force known only as The Feed-a system that quietly shapes which stories survive and which disappear forever.

To reclaim her voice before it is rewritten for her, Hannah must decide whether literary immortality is worth sacrificing the person she used to be.

Prose & Cons is a literary fantasy about friendship, ambition, identity, creativity, and the stories that survive because someone chooses to protect them.

Perfect for readers who love magical libraries, books about books, contemporary fantasy, and stories that explore what success costs.
