Chicka Chicka Boom Boom—the rollicking, rhyming alphabet book beloved by generations—is now available in a spiral-bound read-aloud edition designed for classrooms, libraries, daycares, and story time at home!

A told B,
and B told C,
“I’ll meet you at the
top of the coconut tree.”

In this cheerful ABC book for toddlers, the letters of the alphabet race up the coconut tree in a bright, bouncy chant—until the tree can’t hold them all and they come tumbling down in a chicka chicka BOOM! BOOM! What happens next? Little readers will love finding out!

This Storytime Together edition is inspired by the Japanese kamishibai storytelling tradition. It features sturdy cardstock pages, lay-flat spiral binding, and an innovative design that folds so the illustrations face the audience while the text faces the reader—perfect for circle time, classroom read-alouds, and shared storytelling.

With bold, high-contrast art from Caldecott Honor–winning illustrator Lois Ehlert and joyful rhyming text by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is a read-aloud classic that introduces letter recognition, phonics, and the alphabet in a fun, memorable way.

Also available in Storytime Together editions:

Click, Clack, Moo—The cows have a typewriter and they’re not afraid to use it! This award-winning barnyard classic is a hilarious read-aloud about negotiation and standing up for yourself.
Big Bug—A clever concept book that plays with perspective and size, ideal for engaging young minds in early visual learning, language, and scale.
