Standing for Socks

Twelve-year old Fara Ross started wearing mismatched socks to make herself stand out from the crowd. But pretty soon all the kids who had never paid attention to her before were only noticing her socks and not her great ideas about recycling and school fundraisers. Now that she's running for sixth-grade class president, she needs to make everyone listen to what she has to say. If she could, she'd stop wearing socks forever, but how can she get rid of what made her popular to begin with? And what is she going to do about her best friend, Jody, who thinks that all Fara cares about now is winning? Who knew that socks could cause so many problems?! About The Author
