Set in the outrageous and exciting world of an '80s hard rock band, this "fun and entertaining" second novel in the Pirate the Rock Band series is a rollercoaster adventure and love story in one. Ideal for those who relish a bit of romp and raunch.
Lead singer Jack St James is on cloud nine—until his psychopath father arrives at the end of their big American tour seeking control and revenge.
It's 1984, and lead singer Jack St James is in seventh heaven. He's met the woman of his dreams, record sales are through the roof, and his band, Pirate, finishes its sold-out American tour in four days.
His mother has even managed to escape her gilded prison and come halfway around the world to join his surprise 25th birthday celebration.
If only he hadn't created a media frenzy and outed himself to the world as the son of a lord. Lord Winston Stevens. A charming but dangerous psychopath.
Jack's life is shattered when his all-powerful father arrives in L.A., on the warpath to reclaim his errant wife and punish his wayward son. Or far worse, to force Jack back to his "rightful" place in society—the next in line after his brother's terrible death. The spare heir. The future lord.
Jack would rather die than return to his evil father's dominion and control.
As he and band manager Dunk batten down the hatches, Jack wonders if the band and his new love—and even he himself—will survive this battle over the course of their future.
Told over four intense days at the end of a rock 'n' roll tour, this novel is an escape back to the hair band 80s when all that mattered were love, sex, and music.
