PAMBULA

A powerful and haunting novel set against the backdrop of two of the most devastating disasters in modern history-Australia's deadliest bushfires and the outbreak of a global pandemic-Pambula is the second in a trilogy by J. Michael Bailey.

At the heart of this sweeping narrative is Pia Hannaford, a woman left utterly alone, her home reduced to ashes and her family lost. As she struggles to find meaning in the face of unimaginable grief, an old adversary resurfaces-Michael Elm, recently freed from prison after winning an appeal on his rape conviction. Now armed with his vast inheritance, Elm is hell-bent on revenge.

Meanwhile, Detective Superintendent Roger Sage of the Royal Lucayan Island Police Force is drawn back into the dark world of the Elm family when two bodies are discovered in a shared grave on Lucaya. As the investigation expands, it uncovers a sinister web of multiple murders stretching across continents-from Australia and the Caribbean to the remote Cook Islands.

A deeply moving exploration of love, loss, and morality in a time of chaos, Pambula masterfully navigates the thin line between justice and vengeance, good and evil. As the world teeters on the brink, the novel asks: What does it truly mean to survive?

Praise for Pambula:

"This story travels thousands of miles, from Australia to the Cook Islands in the Pacific to the islands of Lucaya and Jamaica in the Caribbean. I have read thousands of books when I was younger, but this is the first one I've read in some time that I could not put down. J Michael Bailey certainly is a remarkable author and I congratulate him on another winner."
