Sequel to "On Either Side." Here we follow the exploits of Karl Wulf's son (Carl King) and Wulf's widow Zari. Set in the early 1970's the pair honour Karl's legacy. Let's go Nazi hunting!
Starting with Carl King's army career as a bomb disposal expert in Northern Ireland, he was never informed that his real father was a German war hero, SS Major Karl Wulf. Early in the book, he is informed of this by an elderly Jew whom his father saved from a Polish concentration camp. Sadly he is also told that his father is on his deathbed.
Carl leaves for Germany to meet his father but is too late. However, he does meet with Karl Wulf's estranged wife (later widow) and they begin a love affair and carry on with Karl's Nazi-hunting legacy.
The book spins some aspects of the early 1970's such as the Baader Meinhof Complex (Red Army Faction) and Die Spinne (The Spider), an organisation set up after the war to protect Nazi war criminals.

I enjoyed reading Part 2 of On Either Side. The story was interesting and full of drama. Carl's and Zari's relationship was surprising considering the circumstance. The Author uses rich prose which transports you to another place and time. I found the Authors views on Vegetarianism and Diabetes interesting. Looking forward to more work from this Author.

Another great book as the sequel to part 1 ' On Either Side'. Familiar characters and new ones. Not so sad as the 1st book but a gripping book none the less. Highly recommend.
