He ended her restaurant with eight hundred words. Now he has to convince the whole city he's in love with her.
Three years ago, the most feared food critic in Chicago wrote the review that buried Camille Royce's first restaurant. She rebuilt from the ashes — alone, debt-deep, her name and no one else's on the door — and swore she'd never hand anyone the power to take it again.
Then he walks back into her dining room. And a stranger's thirty-second video of the two of them goes viral as the city's great love story.
The lie is saving her restaurant. The reservations are full for the first time in months. There's only one problem: it has to keep looking real — so Cam and the man who ruined her sign a contract, set the rules, and start performing a romance neither one will admit is slipping into something they can't control. No real feelings. That was the whole arrangement. That was supposed to be the easy part.
But a fake relationship only works until somebody catches feelings — and when his secrets put the very thing she built at risk, Cam will have to decide whether the man who once destroyed her dream is the only one she'd ever trust to protect it. He'll have to burn down everything that made him powerful to prove it. And the whole city is watching to see which way she falls.
A steamy, slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers fake dating romance with a fiercely independent heroine, a grumpy critic with a soft center, a redemption that costs him everything, and a guaranteed happily-ever-after. If you love sharp banter, forced proximity, and a hero who grovels in public, Off the Record is your next one-click.
