Where/when were you born?
I was born in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire in 1965.
Where do you live/who with (family, pets, etc.)?
I live in Cambridge with my wife; 2 step daughters (twins!), 1 daughter who visits; 3 Italian Greyhounds; 3 cats (2 Burmese, 1 Siamese); 3 ponies; two lizards; a tank of fish.
How did you first start writing/illustrating?
I have been writing stories ever since I could write, it’s just something I have always done. Never made a decision to, just did it.
What inspires you?
Simple answer: everything. A good plot or idea is often as simple as putting two things together that you’ve never seen put together before. I read widely and voraciously and tend to store things away, until one day two pieces of stored information will collide, bond together, and a story is born.
What do you do to relax?
I read; watch B-movies; read comics; do origami; cook; watch birds; rearrange my library; play PS3 games; listen to music; play guitar; take a hot bath.
