When Rachel turns up dead, her best friend Mariah doesn't buy the 'official story' - that she was using again and helping to smuggle drugs.
But when Mariah digs deeper into the murder, she uncovers more than she'd bargained for - the roots of a conspiracy that have sunk deep into the bedrock of Ciudad Juarez and El Paso.
Now, sinister powers think Mariah has learned to much - and suddenly, she's the one being hunted. Framed and threatened, Mariah finds herself dodging corrupt local cops and a murderous drug cartel - not sure where to turn, or who to trust.
On the one hand, there's handsome DEA Agent Dale Warner. As teenagers, Mariah fell in love with Dale; but can Mariah trust him now? Especially since he's seems embroiled in the same conspiracy that killed her best friend.
Then, there's suave, sexy Phillip Ortiz - a protective local 'businessman' with a dangerous side. He says he loves her, willing to do whatever it takes to win her.
Caught between the two of them, Mariah's facing a fight for her life and her heart - and there's no telling who or what will survive the outcome.
Mariah: Blood of the New Moon is a thrilling, fast-paced romantic thriller featuring a strong, smart female protagonist and a story line ripped right from the headlines. Fans of Mary Burton and Melinda Leigh will love the rich characterization, heady romance and bone-chilling thrills.
