Ben Tails, a former Marine Corps sniper in Vietnam, finds himself in Japan, where he must deal with an enemy far more elusive--and evil--than any he experienced in Southeast Asia. To succeed and to stay alive, he will have to call on his wartime alter ego, Mr. Slide. The action is split between Montana and Japan and deals realistically with questions such as the nature of war and evil.
