Kitteens

Cat-loving Claudia and her friends are still living down the unsuccessful launch of their Kitteens Club two years ago.

Year 8 should be a fresh start, but between first crushes, new teachers and school bullies, high school is a minefield.

At least Claudia's friendship group is solid. Zero drama, zero secrets, zero problems.

Until a freak electrical storm gives the girls some . . . unusual . . . gifts. Suddenly they're dealing with furballs, aggressive neighbourhood dogs, uncontrollable zoomies, an overwhelming need for naps and some very strange cravings. Blending in is no longer an option.

But when she gets a chance to reverse the spell, Claudia is forced to make a choice. Should she hold on to the person she's always been - or embrace her wilder side for good?

About the Author

Carla Caruso always dreamed of becoming a novelist, first testing the patience of her kindy teachers by dictating lengthy stories for them to write down.

Journalism, however, seemed the more practical path, leading her to cover an international jewellery fair in Italy four times, style fashion shoots and interview everyone from The Veronicas to the Kardashians. She eventually fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a fiction author, now juggling writing with raising twin boys and doting on her black rescue cat.
