The second book in the Cambridgeshire series
A gentleman has been raised by a hermit uncle. He is heir to his uncle but sadly does not know how to behave as an estate owner ought to. His uncle's business practices don't seem to fit him and he has no idea how to mingle with other gentlemen. Not at all with the lord of Farthingale estate. He dresses like his uncle in funereal clothes and so the ladies cannot see anything of value in him. Then there is a lady who at a wedding sees the first venturing out of that secluded man. She has no idea he is a neighbor and in her innocence she dreams of him. What will happen when they meet?
