"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." --John 1:1
The Gospel of John is all about how God has sent Jesus Christ to renew the earth. Throughout the Gospel, we see how John progressively reveals Jesus's identity as the powerful Son of God and Messiah whose resurrection from the dead begins the process of undoing the power of darkness over the earth.
This 40-day study on the Gospel of John combines deep insight into each passage, exploration of Old Testament theology that finds fulfillment in Jesus and his new covenant, and fresh, practical application for individual readers or groups. Over forty days, you will:
· read and reflect on the Gospel of John
· meditate on Jesus and the good news
· pray through the Gospel of John
· apply God's word to your life
Each volume of the Planted in the Word series provides forty days of guided Bible study written by respected scholars for everyday Christians and includes a reading plan for group study.
