Siblings Jenny and Todd have survived the loss of their missionary parents to a brutal murder. Barely. As they try to rebuild their lives, Todd returns to his job as a writer for a Seattle newspaper while Jenny settles into their childhood home in Ketchikan, Alaska. But when Todd's personal life is turned upside down again, he retreats to Ketchikan to heal, where Jenny has met the hotshot ranger and fire jumper, Steve Baltyn.
