Gorgo, The Story of Medusa, the half-beast dame.
Gorgo is a rendition of the story of Medusa and the mortal Gorgon sister. I base its characters on a Nigerian setting and an African spin on the names.
Gorgo is a continuation of the story of medusa centuries after it happened. The spirit of Medusa is reborn in an attempt to protect her reincarnated love story with Poseidon.
With the help of her friends Tiwa and Lanre, Gorgo tries to investigate the events that caused her to wake up in the streets. Gorgo was missing her memories of all that happened in those three months.
Along with her quest to investigate the events that left Gorgo (Medusa) on the streets, Gorgo battles to control her transition into a mysterious creation with snakes (or worms) under her skin.
"Of course they were hidden. No sane man on Sarde Island would simply never admit that a woman who beat them to a pulp. In their awkwardness and shame, these men found each other and came after me as expected. It was Sarde Island, after all. No wrongdoing ever went unpunished.
At midnight, an ambush of angry weakened chaps would ram through every dark corner to bring the woman who manhandled them to justice. Their misfortune, because I finally released all the angst marinating inside of me." - Gorgo.

Gorgo: Indemnifying the guardian princess: Medusa is striking mythology. Medusa is most of the time villainized, which was understandable because of the time it was written. In some versions of the mythology, Poseidon raped Medusa in the temple of Athena. Athena cursed Medusa for being raped in the temple. The snakes on her head turned all who looked at her into stone. They gifted Perseus a golden shield that helped him kill Medusa. Perseus also used her head as a weapon.

Several events could warrant the villainization of a character such as a medusa. Gorgo indemnifies Medusa by keeping to the essentials of the original myth. Gorgo: Indemnifying the guardian princess is a rendition of the mythology with a central idea that we are all the heroes of our story.
"I wanted so badly to put on a brave face as I stride through these difficult cards life has dealt me, but for how long? The assurance of a happy ending was all I held on to. There are several nicknames given to Gorgo, which include the Guardian princess and evil. Gorgo owns these as she tells the story of all the elements that lead to why she deserves to be both the Guardian princess and an evil creature at the same time.
I also wrote Gorgo with an African twist with its character and set on a fictional Nigerian Island.
