After her grandmother dies Carly starts reliving some very intrusive memories that are definitely not her own. Eventually she realizes that she has inherited a mystery that still needs to be solved. That is when she starts on a search for the who, the what, the where and the why of these memories.
On her journey towards the answer she discovers that her grandmother had a past she knew nothing of. As it turns out, her grandmother's past was not the only thing rigourously swept under carpet. She encounters tender toes everywhere that do not like to be stepped on. There are others, however, who think the past needs airing instead of being allowed to fester.
