Fukushima had barely been a memory when the core reactor at the Ubuntu Nuclear Lab off the coast of Cape Town erupted with genocidal proportions. Radiation spread like slow growing moss, consuming everything in its path until it ran its merciless course. When the dust finally settled, the bulk of the African continent was mutilated. The single most catastrophic event in human history left a shattered people with few technological resources. The scarcity resulted in a boost in crime to the extent that the New Republic of Africa outlawed certain forms of high technology altogether.
While other nations lavished in technology, The New Republic Of Africa operated in a state of prohibition. Bootleggers were considered outlaws and punished to the highest extent of the law, if they were punished at all.
When death begins to circulate throughout Ubuntu City and evidence verifies the use of outlawed technology, upstart 'Tech Division' police officer Jabu Oyeyemi is sent on a mission to investigate. While trying to piece together parts of his own life, amid taking in a whole other world, Jabu is faced with figuring out how to save an already depleted african populace. If he is lucky, he should be able to save his own soul as well.
