How being given away at age 12 changed my life. This is a self-help manuscript for teenage girls, who like me, had a difficult time in life through foster homes. It was an 8th grade teacher who changed my life by telling me that I was "smart". He was right and I have tried my best to help others know their potentials and give them encouragement. I hope to help more teenagers. My little sister (from Big Brothers Big Sister) is now in college to be a neonatal nurse. We have enjoyed our friendship since she was 11. This manuscript regarding my years of experience through relationships and hard work have taught me many things. Do not count on relationships to give you self love. Love yourself. You deserve respect and always know that God loves you. After many years of working second shift (to be home during the young days with my children), as a keypuncher, I found my career in 32 years of real estate starting in 1990. Real Estate is not an easy profession. It is 7 days a week and you are always on call with your clients. Work with renters at first. They may become buyers. Work floor duty with calls and take anyone's floor duty. Work the phones on weekends and advertise for other brokers. Get your name out there. My first year with 41 sales and 3.2 million in sales, I gave half my commissions to the company that trained me. Once you get established, you can go on with more commission. Work hard and you will succeed.
