David is a young man who lives in a remote cottage in the New Forest. Brought up by his recently departed Grandmother, he is struggling to find peace in the modern world around him. Worried that her friend is not relaxing or sleeping, Jeannie buys David a relaxation CD hoping it will help.
But David can hear footsteps in the music that nobody else hears, and he starts to talk of other things, of a young woman in trouble, of another place and time.
Is it all in David's head? Is it in the music? Or is it in the cottage set back on its own in the deep dark woods?
