The battle to survive raged on even when they thought they were safely back home. New people entered the fray, seeking revenge and claim the spoils they wanted. Respect for life and compassion are alien notions to pirates. They are driven by greed and determination to enrich themselves at the cost of others. The main characters are sexy, intelligent persons finding their own elegant way to deal with the trauma inflicted on them by their ruthless adversaries. They never gave up, but there was a price to pay, as always.
