Ed Le Brocq
Ed Le Brocq is a writer, music teacher, and broadcaster with a unique and diverse background. Born on the White Cliffs of Dover, he embarked on his musical journey at the age of eight, starting with the violin. His musical education took him to Manchester, Berlin, and London, where he honed his skills and played professionally in both the UK and Hong Kong. In 2003, Ed made a significant move to Australia, where he later became the presenter of ABC Classic FM’s breakfast program for an extended period.
Beyond his achievements in the realm of music, Ed has authored two books that reflect his varied experiences. "Cadence" recounts his remarkable bicycle journey from England to Hong Kong, accompanied only by his violin. Meanwhile, "Danger Music" delves into his year spent teaching music in Afghanistan.
Ed's journey includes a personal transition—he was born as Emma and made the decision to transition just before his 50th birthday, reminding us that it's never too late for self-discovery and personal growth.
