"Dropping The Weights" is a journey for every person to take, understanding that we ALL go through hard situations in our life. More times than not we walk around knowingly or unknowingly with heavy things like Worry, Fear, Doubt, Stress etc.... aka what I call, "Weights".

These "Weights"are common everyday challenges we store away internally, until that ONE DAY, it ALL gets too heavy, and we stumble or collapse! So, let us first admit the existence of them, then DROP THEM!! One weight at a time. As a young man Mark grew up in South Central, LA, with four siblings. One brother and three sisters, his mom God Bless her soul, was BOTH mother & father. Knowing, seeing, feeling, and Hearing ALL she had to go through to provide for her family, he never would have imagined himself being a writer/ New author, a husband, and a father of two in a million years! Especially for a Black kid who was very shy and stuttered, but for some reason way in the back of his head, he was always LISTENING to EVERY WORD that was being said to him and around him. He was not always good at comprehending what he heard, but he always paid attention to what everybody said. Good, bad, and in between. As he got older, he started to realize the importance of his words, and how they were affecting his life and others around him. With Christian values, married 17yrs. with two kids, who are now adults, and 30+ years in the Private Security business at a Major Studio, Listening and Hearing has fine-tuned his world in a whole new way. This is why he truly believes this book DROPPING THE WEIGHTS has been life changing for him and knows it will do the same for others by reminding them they no longer have to carry around heavy, defeating WORDS!
