Harriet, art photographer and avid outdoors enthusiast, visits her bank and by happenstance, becomes an unintended hostage for a team of bank robbers, who make their getaway to an underground fallout shelter that they use for to hide out until the heat blows over. By contract, for six months they must stay in this highly provisioned shelter awaiting release from their employer and new passports to leave the country.
Sydney and Mateo become Harriet's guardians and protectors as having a woman joining them was never part of the plan. They do well and everyone is professional, until Dax, the bully amongst them, begins to get jealous of Sydney and Mateo's "good fortune". He wants his share of the booty.
