I started one of the more complex round offs, I'd only landed it twice. When I landed it I smiled, and did it again, I stepped a few extra times but kept on my feet. I started the easy part of the cheer before my tumbling routine to get the feel for the transition, but it slowed me down and I had to think more about my next move which put me flat on my ass again.
I sucked in a frustrated breath and re-ponied my red-brown locks into a high ponytail. I watched as Craig flipped on the rings, he was a good-looking guy, all broad shoulders, and trim waist, he wore only a dark silver sleeveless shirt and loose fit gym pants. He moved with easy grace, no doubt from his countless hours of practice, making it look so simple. His dark hair was cut floppy and it moved as he swung, letting go and doing three full flips before landing with that steady ease.
Rylie stood near him, spotting him, his blond hair cut short. He mounted the rings with Craig's hands on his naked sides. He looked to have waxed, his chest smooth and shiny. I did it again, complete with the words, as loud as I'd do them in competition, and then taking one breath before tumbling my way across the mat. I landed it flawlessly and noted both guys smiling at me.
Craig offered me a salute, and Rylie offered a slow clap. I blushed and swept a lock of hair behind my ear.
