It's the eighties and Nick is a young London-based widower with a respectable banking job and a demanding two-year-old daughter whom he adores. Still reeling from the death of his beloved wife, Nick wants nothing more than to honour her memory by bringing up his daughter in a safe and loving home. When he begins an unlikely relationship with Eamon, a gay teacher visiting from Paris, the odds are already against them.
