Chanel Contos, the founder of Teach Us Consent, a campaign advocating for mandatory consent education in Australia, was honored with the Australian Human Rights Commission Young People's Medal in 2021. Recognizing her unwavering commitment to combating rape culture, she was named the NSW Young Woman of the Year in 2023. Chanel has also received the prestigious Diana Award for her humanitarian efforts and gained recognition on the global stage in 2022 when she was featured among the BBC's list of 100 inspiring and influential women worldwide. Holding a Masters in Education, Gender, and International Development from University College London, Chanel was recently appointed by Julia Gillard to chair the Youth Advisory Committee of the Global Institute for Women's Leadership.
