Bea has led what she knows is a pretty simple, even small life. She's good at her job, even if she doesn't enjoy it. Her dreams of being a chef have been put to the wayside. Her replacement job as a personal assistant isn't great- but it isn't bad either. It becomes especially interesting when she begins to work for her boss, Ms. Byrd.
Ms. Byrd is everything Bea has ever wanted to be- or truly, ever wanted. Ms. Byrd remains coolly professional and apparently untouchable. Bea knew she wanted Ms. Byrd from the moment she saw her.
