Something was created in the shadows.
Something was never supposed to escape.
When a swarm of genetically engineered cybernetic insects is unleashed on an unsuspecting population, panic spreads faster than anyone can contain it. These aren't ordinary bugs. Designed through a terrifying fusion of nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, and biological engineering, they were created for a purpose far more dangerous than anyone imagined.
As entire communities face a threat they can barely understand, the trail leads back to an abandoned military base, a secret weapons program, and the brilliant but mysterious Dr. Fabian Gilden.
But the insects aren't simply attacking.
They're adapting.
They're learning.
And they may be following orders.
With time running out, an unlikely group of survivors must uncover the truth behind the experiment before the swarm becomes impossible to stop. Along the way, they discover that the greatest danger may not be the creatures filling the skies—but the people who created them.
BUG SMOKE is a fast-paced science-fiction thriller about technology without limits, weapons without accountability, and what happens when humanity creates something it can no longer control.
