Brane World: A Novel
The theory of an extra-large dimension, called the bulk, and brane worlds had been proven. Now, humanity routinely traveled and explored an ever-expanding choice of new universes and worlds.
But ships were being lost in the bulk either by natural disaster or unnatural design.
Physics professor Mark Dreyer of Pacific Tech and his future wife Lainey were trying to stop the losses.
When war in the bulk broke out, Mark and Lainey found themselves stranded on a new world, in a new life together.
Brane World is a novel in the Forgotten Earth Universe. Set in the expanding number of universes known as brane worlds, it's a future with amazingly extrapolated science and technology, and life-affirming humanity.
Science based on the Randall-Sundrum model of a five-dimensional bulk with more than one brane (see Randall, Lisa; Sundrum, Raman (1999). "Large Mass Hierarchy from a Small Extra Dimension").
