About the Author

Michelle Knudson came to writing after working as a children’s book editor and has so far written twenty-eight books. Aside from writing, Michelle is a community theatre actress, perennial allergy sufferer and cat owner, among other things. She has always loved to write and has been writing as long as she can remember. In addition to writing books for young people she also likes to write fiction and non-fiction for adults and science-fiction and now works as a freelance editor and lives in Brooklyn, New York. Michelle’s books for Walker include "Library Lion", about a very helpful lion in a library.

About the Illustrator

Matt Phelan is the author-illustrator of the highly acclaimed graphic novel The Storm in the Barn, winner of a Scott O'Dell Award for Historical Fiction; Around the World, a Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards nominee; and Bluffton. He lives in Philadelphia.
