Mel, a techno-geek biding her time in a soul-destroying job at ComOne, the one remaining U.S. government-controlled internet company in the year 2039, maintains a secret parallel life as a hacktivist. When her Black Internet Ops team leader Manish decides that it's time to get serious in the quest to help fellow gig workers fight back against the U.S. government, Mel and her buddy Mike agree to hack the White House to further the cause. Once in, they discover the true nature of President Smith's plot to bring down the gigs. But the clock is ticking. The dreaded Federal Social Compliance Bureau has picked up their scent.
