What happens when the end of the world is not brought about by nuclear fallout or a biological disaster, but by a cold, absolute divine judgment? In this dark and visceral novel, readers are plunged into the terrifying reality of a world abruptly abandoned by grace. When the firmament turns black and the sky opens, those deemed pure are lifted into the light, leaving Andres behind in the mud of creation. Separated in an instant from his wife Eva and their young son Benicio, Andres is forced to endure the aftermath of a broken world where salvation is no longer an option and basic survival demands unimaginable sacrifices.

In this lawless post-apocalyptic reality, existing day to day is a grueling tactical effort. By day, Andres isolates himself in a claustrophobic apartment, carefully rationing spoiled canned food and contaminated water while watching the slow decay of human civilization through boarded-up windows. By night, he scavenges through ruined streets, fully aware that a single misplaced step could cost him his life. The threats lurking in the dark are twofold. On one side are the Hunters, formidable celestial executioners in abyssal armor accompanied by beastly entities that breathe fire and sulfur, unleashed upon the Earth to purge the survivors who were deemed unworthy. On the other side, and perhaps even more terrifying, is humanity itself. With society entirely collapsed, paranoia, hunger, and primal fear have erased every shred of empathy. Former neighbors become ruthlessly hostile, alliances are bought with blood, and survivors turn on each other for a crust of bread or a temporary sanctuary.

Driven by grief and a desperate need for a final purpose, Andres sets out on a treacherous journey across a shattered landscape to locate his brother, Ricardo. Along the way, he crosses paths with fellow castaways, including Mauro, a young man broken by loss, and Milena, a pragmatic, hardened survivor who navigates the wasteland in an armored vehicle with military precision. Together, they form an uneasy alliance, risking everything to navigate territories controlled by fanatical cults, monstrous entities, and ruthless warlords. Imbued with biblical symbolism, intense atmospheric dread, and unrelenting tension, the story delves deep into profound psychological questions regarding the boundaries of faith, the heavy weight of guilt, and the stark contrast between human cruelty and rare sparks of solidarity under extreme desperation. Andres is no superhero; he is a flawed, broken man clinging to his remaining humanity while haunted by a past tragedy, questioning whether he truly deserved to be left behind. This narrative offers a powerful exploration of remorse, endurance, and the search for redemption when heaven's gates have closed forever.
