It begins with a choice. To save someone or watch them die knowing that if I save them they will be changed, not just for a lifetime but forever. For thousands of years I have been alone, and for thousands of years I have tried to stay out of the limelight as I was held captive for over 700 years by those who took advantage of my ability to extend or repair life.
