"The starways' Lone Watcher had expected some odd developments in his singular, nerve-fraught job on the asteroid. But nothing like the weird twenty-one-day liquid test devised by the invading Steel-Blues."

The story was written in 1952 by Vaseleos Garson (a pseudonym of William J. Garson) and is typical of the science fiction written for the teenagers of that era. It contains commonly used elements such as robots, ray-guns, space travel and aliens.

A modern audio adaptation of this story released earlier attempted to modernise this historic classic through use of special effects and orchestration accompanying the narrative. The authentic pulp style of this piece was nevertheless preserved. The story was written just before space travel discovery by humans and reflects that state of anticipation, fantasy and fear about unknown, the aliens, space travel. The audio book is released under ISBN 978-0-9561165-3-6.
