Returning to London after the war, Doctor John Watson finds himself splitting the rent with the eccentric Sherlock Holmes at 221B Baker Street. He soon accompanies his new roommate to a most curious muder scene, and becomes involved in untangling a mystery that spans two continents. Can Holmes and Watson solve a murder that was years in the making, before the killer strikes again?

Published in 1888, A Study in Scarlet was written in less than three weeks, and kicked off forty years of Holmes and Watson adventures. The first full-length work featuring the world's most famous consulting detective, the original edition featured drawings by the author's father, illustrator Charles Altamont Doyle.
